Congratulations to Claire-Lousie Catterall who I cast in the feature film 'Apocalypse' this week.

I first cast Claire in a small low budget film called 'Terror Nation’ which if I remember I and everyone worked on for free. The director was so enthused that I just had to be part of it.

Claire Louise on set of 'Screwed'
You see the thing with work to me is that and this is maybe why I will never be rich financially is I  don’t have too much of a forward thinking plan. I know that am lucky enough to be able to make a living from what I do so my mind is open to almost everything thrown at me. I like to think I get drawn to a production or perhaps more important the people behind it more than the financial rewards. Some of those productions which I spend time on in the past have pitted out and some make it all the way to the wrap party.  it’s only when a film is complete that I then I can reminisce the fun but more important what relationships we had forged along the way.

I have since cast Claire-louise in the feature film the prison drama ‘Screwed’ and she is currently working alongside John Hannah on ‘Woodland Crossed.' The pre-production phase is well underway on 'The Middle Man' and autobiography a book which is now been made into a feature film about a London gangster which I am producing and she is cast in that as well.

It’s through her own determination and strong worth ethic to strive to be a better actress.

Former Model turned Actress Claire Louise Catterall
She herself denounced her successful modelling career to pursue acting and undertook acting and drama classes with the world renowned 'Sylvia Young Drama School' who we worked with on 'Robbie Williams - Live at the Palladium'. Claire-Louise writes and is a columnist for a newspaper and networks with other professionals in the business to make sure gets the chance to show the world what burns deep inside her.

Some people are not at home when it comes to being them self’s and I’m not saying Claire-louise is one of these people but if you have a feeling that you need to perform then maybe acting is for you. For some people they are compelled to act and perform and there voice needs to be heard.

So what do I get out of all this?
Well I get an over powering sense of satisfaction of helping anyone follow their dreams. I love it when people get back in contact with me and tell me they got an audition or nailed a casting. That’s in its self is reward enough and I would like to thank every single person I’ve ever placed into any one of the 100+ productions I’ve been involved in since I started just over 4 years ago. I was at a low ebb after losing a business I had tried to keep a float and its all of you and your spirit that got me back on my feet. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t the energy I get from you. I of course love the industry and its full of people from all walks of life with agendas some good some not so good but I go back to what I said before. It’s the people I like in it and that’s my draw.

It was a pleasure to cast Claire Louise Catterall in the feature film 'Apocalypse' and am sure you will nail it. Good luck.

The Puppet Master from Director Heather Thompson.

A few stills from the film 'The Puppet Master' which was filmed in September.

This horror from director Heather Thompson, produced by Simon Collins can be described as a supernatural macabre horror which blurs the lines between the shadow world and what is real.

Lead actress Zoe Solanki was joined by Sean Cronin as the DoP and one of the main protagonists, he had many hats on with this production and for me is one of the most respected men in UK commercial and independent film, high budget or low budget he always gives you his all.

I tip my hat to you sir and all the cast and crew.

Was a pleasure to be a part of.
More on this coming soon.

Out Monday - Pre-order your copy here.

Filming of Apocalypse, the next huge UK zombie film continues....

The film focuses on Kat played by young British actress and model Ruth Galliers - a journalist who has previously been a prisoner of war in Burma.

As well as struggling to deal with returning to work and suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, she now has to cope with a zombie invasion. She is trapped in a six-storey news channel building, trying to reach her boyfriend on the outside.

The film is being made by Jopia Productions, an independent film company run by two brothers, producer and screenwriter Stuart and director Tony Jopia, who lives in Deddington. They have previously made a number of horror comedy films, including Crying Wolf.

Are you young and passionate about a career in film?

On set and first slate of the day on 'The Guvnors'
If you are aged 14 – 17 and would like to gain hands on experience and knowledge about the film industry check out our 'The Lynch Mob Work Inspiration Scheme' for young people who want to gain knowledge about the film industry.

'Work Inspiration Scheme'
The scheme is inspired through my own inability to get on at school and that it took me many years to find my own role often making many mistakes and going down blind alleys before I found something that I wanted to passionately pursue in the work place.

So it gives me great pleasure that on the morning of Monday 20th October this week and after a lot of work to make this happen am delighted to be launching our 'Work Inspiration Scheme' for young people who want an idea of what the U.K film industry is all about.

Our two week programme funded by myself will run in the summer 2015 which aims to engage, support and offer young people with the opportunity to build their confidence, gain insight into our industry and see film as a possible career option.

On set and final set up shot of 'Howl'
What will the scheme cover?

Through a series of workshops, show and tell sessions and tours delivered by members of The Lynch Mob Agency along with media and production professionals, you’ll gain insights into film and the wider business, have the opportunity to develop personal skills such as team work, communication, planning, initiative and confidence.

You will also have the opportunity to gain some of the technical skills required to make your own short film.

Sounds good doesn’t it? Let us know if you would like to considered using the 'Contact us' page if you want further details.

MIke Bassett - Interim Manager is giving you a chance to be part of the next chapter.

WHO IS MIKE BASSETT?

Mike Bassett is back! Ricky Tomlinson reprises his role as Mike Bassett in the sequel to Steve Barron's Mike Bassett: England Manager.

Played by Ricky Tomlinson (The Royle Family, Brookside, In the Flesh), Mike Bassett entered every football fan's consciousness in 2001 as Martin Bashir documented his exploits as England manager. His hilarious mixture of passion and ineptitude has made Bassett a byword for all that is right and wrong about English football.

When nobody else could or would take the England manager job over a decade ago, Bassett somehow led them to the semi-finals of the World Cup where they were finally beaten by Brazil (but equalled their best performance since winning the '66 World Cup). Since then however, Bassett has had a descent into the depths of international management, and is struggling with the Iranian ladies football team in Tehran.

Meanwhile the England set-up is being efficiently and successfully managed by his former number two from his Bundesliga third division days, Jorgen Mannstein (who has the team sailing through their World Cup qualifiers). In his usual style, Bassett offends almost all of Iran, and so is soon back looking for another job. It doesn't take long for him to get a call from his old friend Mannstein, leading to his being drafted back into the England fold to work under the brilliant German on his coaching staff.

Yet, 'unforeseen' circumstances occur, forcing Bassett into becoming England's Interim Manager for the rest of the World Cup, as he soon comes to realise just how questionable his prospects are.

We're offering you the chance to be a part of the next chapter in the Mike Bassett saga. Through simply buying the exciting rewards along the right of this page, you will help Mike Bassett: Interim Manager get closer to reality.

We have a variety of rewards for backers, from copies of the film, to posters, to clothing, to chances to join us on set or even appear in the film (as an extra, or as a featured speaking part!) This is top quality stuff for any discerning Mike Bassett fan, or football fan, or anyone really!

We'll be introducing new rewards throughout the campaign, and taking your feedback on what you'd like to see. Look out for one-off special items and opportunities, and make sure to get involved at any level to ensure you get to be a part of the behind the scenes backer-only content that will continue throughout the film all the way up to release.  Watch this space.
